Head Chef Alan Hayward and his team work together to provide you with the finest cuisine and with the finest ingredients all sourced from local suppliers. Our menus are designed to suite all tastes and vegetarian dishes are always available.
We pledge to friends at the Gairstang Fairtrade steering group (Garstang was the first fair-trade town in England.) to provide Fairtrade tea, coffee and sugar to all our guests.
At the hotel we operate 2 menus and a daily specials board. Our 'Brasserie menu' is served from 11:00am till 6:00pm and our Evening menu, orders are taken from between 6.00pm till 9.00pm.
After discovering a family of Kingfishers alongside the River Wyre that straddles the hotel grounds the restaurant name was born. The restaurant is a more formal dining area balanced with the rustic feel and views of a country house hotel. It is always best to book in advance especially for Sunday Lunches and weekends as the restaurant can often be booked out.
